Конференция предоставляет уникальные возможности в сочетание науки, технологии и бизнеса. Она объединяет ведущих международных ученых, инженеров, топ-менеджеров промышленной отрасли и других представителей деловых кругов для обсуждения применения современных материалов и новых технологий, а также перспектив развития промышленных и деловых возможностей в этой сфере. Конференция в Претории собрала 350 международных делегатов, в том числе в ней принял участие профессор Юрий Гогоци, Университе Дрекселя , США (Drexel University, USA) как один из основных пленарных докладчиков.
В рамках конференции прошли общие пленарные заседания, обучающие семинары и лекции, а также подготовлены стендовые доклады, была проведена промышленная выставка.
