Beijing University of Chemical Technology have decided to award prof. Yury Gogotsi, Drexel University (USA) the title of Honorary Professor based on his distinguished academic accomplishments. The president, academician prof. TAN Tianwei attended the ceremony and presented the document of appointment to prof. Yury Gogotsi. 

Honorary professor is the supreme title in BUCT University that is awarded to the overseas scientists. Honorary professor are awarded only to the most famous scientists in the world. The title of Honorary Professor have been awarded to Prof. Harold Kroto, Prof. Michael R. Hoffmann, Prof. Seeram Ramakrishna, Prof. Zhonglin Wang, Prof. Klaus Müllen, and Prof. Graeme Moad, etc.
